There are only two versions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 currently available. As confirmed by Activision in a blog post, Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operators are only available via the Vault Edition’s Red Team 141 pack. Unfortunately, the only way to unlock these four beloved characters as Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operators playable Operators in multiplayer is to spend money. However, there are four Operators in the game that you can’t unlock, no matter what you do: Price, Farah, Ghost and Soap. Some are as simple as beating a campaign mode mission, while others require you to perform a task within Multiplayer, such as getting five assists in a single Multiplayer match. Each one has a slightly different requirement to unlock.
There are a total of 25 Operators for you to unlock at launch. If you’re like me, you’re probably working towards unlocking all the different weapons, camo and Operators. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been out for a few days now.
